How to convert your review to QUADAS-2

Diagnostic test accuracy (DTA) reviews: a pathway

Description

This lesson is part of an introductory series developed by Cochrane Screening & Diagnostic Test Methods Group to support authors in the production of DTA reviews. A full list of currently available or planned lessons is available here.

This lesson addresses conversion from the old QUADAS tool for quality assessment to the QUADAS-2 tool which is now available in RevMan 5.2 or 5.3. It also provides a quick overview of two of the domains in the QUADAS-2 tool. Finally, it briefly explains how to create and modify graphs of risk of bias and applicability concerns.

After using this resource, you should be able to...
  • Convert the methodological quality tables from QUADAS to QUADAS-2 format
  • Adapt the old Characteristics of the Included Studies tables to the new format in RevMan 5.2 or 5.3
  • Make the most of the enhanced functionality in RevMan for producing graphs of risk of bias and applicability concerns
