Introduction to Archie

Archie is the Cochrane's central server for managing documents and contact details. Archie is an internet-based repository containing information about contributors to Cochrane and all the documents and reviews produced. Within Archie it is possible for authors, editors and others to read, print and compare current and past versions of Cochrane Protocols, Reviews and other documents, and update your contact details.

Together with RevMan, Archie forms the Cochrane Information Management System (IMS), which is designed to enable contributors to Cochrane to meet the demands of producing high quality systematic reviews.

The Cochrane Informatics and Knowledge Management Department (IKMD) provides documentation and support for users of Archie, including a quickstart guide, introductory presentation, tips on how to improve the presentation of your review and managing Licence for Publication forms. You can also find help using Archie in the Archie online help system.
