As scope searches are very broad, CISs should screen the results and exclude any records that are not within the scope of their group, or are not the correct study design. Once records have been screened, they can be added to your register. How you add them will depend on the type of register you have.
If you have a study-based register, then you need to check if the records are additional reports of a study already in your register and how you do this will depend on how your register is set up, but you could search by author, trial registration number or intervention. If you have a reference-based register, you can add the records to your register and code them or not, according to your Group’s policy.
In CRS it is possible to attach a full text of the reference to the record in your register.
