For every Cochrane Review, it's important to plan the methods carefully in advance and this is done through writing and agreeing a protocol. Protocols are a required component of a Cochrane Review and are designed to avoid duplication and reduce bias.
This presentation gives guidance on the rationale for writing a protocol for a Cochrane Review, the standard format for how protocols are structured and the content that you will need to provide.
The presentation has been translated into several languages other than English. Select an available language from the list at the top right of this page.
