Collecting and managing declarations of interest: a webinar for Managing Editors

Cochrane’s revised Conflict of Interest policy will come into effect on the 14th October, 2020. This session will provide information on the issues related to collecting and managing author declarations of interest in line with the revised policy, including the timeframes for seeking declarations and the support that EMD can offer in drafting narrative DOI statements.

The session will be aimed at Managing Editors and Assistant Managing Editors and will be held twice to cover global timezones.

Presenter Bios

Ruth Foxlee has worked with Cochrane’s COI Arbiters since 2015. She was a member of the COI Policy revision team (2018-19) and is project lead on the COI Policy Implementation Project.

Stephanie Boughton works with the Senior Research Integrity Editor and COI panel to provide advice and arbitration on potential breaches of the COI policy and is part of the COI Policy Implementation Group.

The ME Support Team provides induction training, ongoing training, and support to MEs in all aspects of their role within a Cochrane Review Group.
