Many of the following resources are also included in the guidance produced by the KT Strategic Partnership Working Group.  They have been produced by external organizations and Cochrane is not responsible for their content.

Partnership toolsThe Department of Social Services in Australia has developed a number of tools and checklists related to partnerships.

Stakeholder Engagement. The nonprofit organisation Business for Social Responsibility has a five-step toolkit for stakeholder engagement. 

Engaging stakeholders. This collection from McMaster University summarises the MEASURE tool to support groups in analysing stakeholders.

Stakeholder analysis matrix. This tool from Tools4dev and although was developed for international aid organizations and can be used to map partnerships.

Partnership analysis tool. This resource (particularly the checklist) provides key questions for choosing partners developed by the Victoria Government, Australia.

The partnering toolbook. This online book looks at cross-sectorial partnering and is published  by The Partnership Initiative.

The partnership handbookThis online book supports the most current understanding and development of partnerships and is published (in French and English) by the Canadian Government.


The Global Evidence Synthesis Institute (GESI) held a webinar in May 2019 on 'A framework for stakeholder engagement during systematic reviews' which included an interesting presentation of stakeholder mapping methods.

The Canadian National Collaborating Centre for Methods and Tools held a webinar in February 2019 on their 'Self Evaluation Tool for Action in Partnership'.


Manuel du partenariat. Ce livre en ligne s'intéresse aux partenariats intersectoriels et est publié  par “The Partnership Initiative”.

Guide du partenariat. Ce guide fournit des conseils sur la préparation de partenariats communautaires efficaces et est pulbié par Développement des ressources humaines Canada.


Le Centre de collaboration nationale des méthodes et outils au Canada a organisé un webinaire en février 2019 sur son thème 'Le centre Outil diagnostique de l'action en partenariat.'
