The new GRADE Book is an official publication providing the most up-to-date and accurate description of the GRADE approach proposed by the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) Working Group. It incorporates the latest advancements, methodologies, and best practices, ensuring that users have access to practical guidance for assessing the certainty of evidence and formulating recommendations.
By the end of 2026, the GRADE Book will fully replace the GRADE Handbook, which originated in 2003 and was last fully updated in 2013. As of September 2024, only select chapters dealing with rating the certainty in intervention effects have been written and made available, with new content being added regularly as the GRADE working group, through its GRADE Guidance Group (G3), continues its review and production process. For sections that have not yet been updated, please refer to the original GRADE Handbook.
