2.4 The relationship of Specialised Registers to CENTRAL

CENTRAL (the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials) is one of the databases included in the Cochrane Library. It includes citation details of articles taken from online databases such as MEDLINE and Embase, and other published and unpublished sources. Cochrane Information Specialists contribute to CENTRAL by publishing their Registers via the Cochrane Register of Studies (CRS).

The records published by your Group or Field are easily identifiable in CENTRAL as they will have your Group Code in one of the bibliographic fields. You can search for all the records your group has submitted to CENTRAL using the Search tab and the Search limits function. Alternatively you can use the term SR-XXXX where XXXX is the code for your Group (e.g. SR-EPOC, SR-PREG, SR-RENAL, etc). The Cochrane CENTRAL creation pages have a list of these codes (scroll to the end of the page).
